Celebrating a major milestone at our Leeds city centre BTR scheme

As UKREiiF started to wind down, we celebrated a major construction milestone with our contractor John Sisk & Son (Sisk) and funding partners Bridges Fund Management and Realstar, with a topping out ceremony at UNCLE Leeds, our Build to Rent development in Leeds city centre (also known as Latitude Purple).

The ceremony took place on 18 May on the 17-storey building, with the Lord Mayor of Leeds in attendance. UNCLE Leeds sits on the previous site of Doncaster Monkbridge Iron and Steelworks. Located at Whitehall Road, the £68m city centre development includes two residential towers standing at 17 and 21 storeys high. The scheme will deliver 463 homes, and is expected to complete in April 2024.

Our MD Damien Sharkey said: “People and communities are at the heart of everything we do, and topping out brings us a step closer to realising the benefits this scheme will deliver for the local people of Leeds. In the context of the current housing crisis, this is an especially exciting milestone for Latitude Purple [UNCLE Leeds], which will provide the city with hundreds of much-needed homes when it completes in April next year.”
